The truth comes out in the car

A man and a woman, both wearing face masks, are at an airport. The man, dressed in a white shirt and jeans, is placing a suitcase into the trunk of a car. The woman, wearing a gray t-shirt and jeans, stands nearby watching. The background shows the exterior of an airport terminal with large windows.

Question for you: Do I put their bags in the car or not?

Here is a one to get some feedback on.

As a driver should you always help put the riders bags in the boot? Or do you let them do it?

Sometimes, it clear, they just get them and put them in themselves. Other times they expect you to do it.

Do I only do it for females? Or do I do it for males as well? Is that being discriminating?

What about if they have very heavy bags?

I don’t know why, but this always leaves me in a quandary.

Then when you get to the location, do you help them take them out of the car?

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
